My Training

Worked as part-time radio newsreader in college; occasional oratory coach.
Studied liberal arts including journalism and economics, some electronics and communications engineering, basic music theory, photography.
Later recorded, edited and mixed many school plays, skits and presentations for high school and college students; acted as voice dubbing talent for additional characters when needed.
Technical background useful in performing technical reads/assignments. Managed a small cable TV business for nine years; edited and produced videos of local events, occasionally with my voiceover, for the community channel. Learned industrial and management engineering on the job; worked as process analyst for a plywood and newsprint manufacturer and later for a maker of refrigerators and air conditioners.
Published songwriter and arranger; arranged and recorded accompaniment for graduation hymns and various songs for others.
Twenty years editing English-language books and magazines (various publishers), indicating thorough knowledge of grammar and syntax and familiarity with American idioms.
